Lilah's Obituary

There's no easy way to introduce your child to the world when they are born sleeping.  Our sweet Lilah's heart stopped beating for unknown reasons during the 28th week of gestation in utero.  Our beloved second daughter Lilah was born into heaven at 7:23 am on June 19, 2020 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, WI.  Lilah was loved every single second of her existence.  Lilah will be forever remembered and loved by her Parents, Brandon and Kayla Wasielewski; Big Sister, Remy Wasielewski; Grandparents, Tom and Sandi Scully; and Grandparents, Doug and Debbie Wasielewski.  Our lives will be forever touched by her strength and fight as Lilah fought with odds stacked against her from early on.  We had never guessed we would be parents burying a child we never got to know.  Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we lay Lilah to rest and come to terms with carrying on our lives apart from hers until we meet again.

"You were not a 'lost pregnancy' or a 'stillborn' as some may have described you.  You were not a sad thing that happened to us or a tragic circumstance.  You were a baby, my baby, our baby.  A human being and you will always be.  I carried you for every second of your life and I will love you for every second of mine.  You were born silent.  Perfect and beautiful.  Still loved.  Still missed.  Still remembered.  Everyday.  Stillborn.  But Still Born."

Lilah was laid to rest at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery following a private intimate service with immediate family members on June 30, 2020.  Further family and friends will be invited to celebrate in a memorial gathering at a later date.  In lieu of gifts and flowers a memorial fund has been set up for monetary gifts.
